Recently , I had an exceptional experience at DTET colombo , The staff were incredibly supportive specially (exam and certificate related department ) , providing clear guidance and assistance throughout my visit. Their service was impressively fast and efficient, with minimal wait times. 🙏 Thanks for the great service .

At present there are 39 Technical Colleges scattered throughout Sri Lanka. These institutions are managed by Department of Technical Education & Training which functions under the Ministry of Skills Development and Vocational Training.

The total strength of teaching staff of the Technical colleges is around 544. The non academic staff of Technical Colleges consists of about 2000 persons at present.

DYET is not the most efficient place in Sri Lanka. They took almost three to four years to present a certificate to an any kind of a course. You gonna have to wait and I'm sure you will have to visit here more than one time for sure
They are working with the TVEC when they providing the certificates and it is a hard as he'll procedure to follow.
When you visit DTET you are gonna have to visit the TVEC which located at narahenpita eventually. At it also a pain in a** prosedure.

Department of Technical Education & Training DTET

Technical Education is established in Sri Lanka with the commencement of “Technical School” at Maradana in 1893 Technical Education, which has a 125+years history, is now developed in 39 Technical Colleges located in different parts of the country. Action has been commenced to modernize the training courses as suitable for industrial development, after assessing the system. Accordingly, it has developed the Colleges of Technology and recognized the Departmental activities and programs of Technical Colleges. Required measures have been taken the programs of Technical Education to achieve the mission of the Technical Education.
